Practice labs
Free — no account needed to read
A lab rehearses one kind of conversation on a realistic situation, a step at a time. Wordings are examples to adapt, never scripts to recite.
- Conversation Simulator — Rehearse a conversation you find hard to start — on the page, or by role-playing it with your companion. (10 min)
- Listening Challenge — Read what someone says and practise hearing it fully — before advice, stories or fixes. (6 min)
- Empathy Lab — what might be happening here? — Practise holding several explanations for someone’s behaviour before settling on one. (7 min)
- Conflict Lab — Practise a disagreement on paper, then look at your words the way the other person will hear them. (10 min)
- Boundary Lab — Practise saying no — or not yet — clearly, kindly and in your own words. (7 min)
- Networking Lab — Prepare for an event or an outreach, practise your introduction, and plan the follow-up. (10 min)
- Leadership Lab — Practise delegation, feedback and difficult conversations before you have them for real. (10 min)
- Social Adaptability Lab — Same objective, different people: practise adjusting how you say something without changing what you stand for. (8 min)
Guided tools
How should I handle this?
Something is going on with someone and you don’t know what to say. Think it through before you act. (8 min)
- What happened?
- What do you know?
- What are you assuming?
- What might the other person be experiencing?
- What outcome do you want?
- What could you communicate?
- What boundaries matter here — yours and theirs?
Prepare for a conversation
Before you see someone: what you recorded about them, what you want to talk about, and what to ask. (5 min)
- What do I want from this conversation?
- What topics might we talk about?
- What do I want to ask them?
- What should I remember?
Social reflection
After an interaction that mattered — good, awkward or hard — look back while it is fresh. (6 min)
- Who did I interact with?
- What happened?
- What went well?
- What was difficult?
- What did I learn about myself?
- What did I learn about the situation?
- What could I do differently next time?
