Learn how startups work with Startup Academy

107 lessons and a 154-term glossary covering finance, fundraising, customers, hiring and more — each one ending by applying itself to your own startup.

Step 1: Open Startup Academy

In Founder mode, click Startup Academy in the sidebar, or go to the Academy page directly. Every lesson is free to read, signed in or not.

Step 2: Answer two questions

Tell it your stage and what you did before. It prefills your stage from your startup profile if you already set one. These decide what gets recommended first and never lock anything.

Step 3: Pick what you are trying to do

Choose a learning path such as "I want to raise my first round" or "I need to understand my finances" to get an ordered sequence with a real time estimate.

Step 4: Read a lesson

Every lesson has the same shape: what it is, why it matters, an example, the common mistake, how it works, when to use it and when not to, a short quiz and an exercise.

Step 5: Apply it to your startup

At the end of each lesson, the Apply panel runs the idea against your own data — your real runway, your real cap table, your real unit economics.

Step 6: Look up any term

Open the glossary for plain-language definitions of dilution, SAFE, runway, cap table, ICP and 149 more, each with the part first-time founders get wrong.

Step 7: Ask your companion

Your AI companion reads the lesson with you. Use "Explain it differently" or "Use my startup as the example" on any lesson.
