Find and rediscover talent with Talent Discovery

Write a sourcing brief, find people who are open to work by what they published, rediscover people you already know, and track outreach in a campaign — reasons, never scores.

Step 1: Start from a role

Open Talent Discovery (/employer-dashboard/suggestions) under SOURCE, or press Find talent in a Hiring Room. Choosing a role fills the sourcing brief from its hiring plan: must-haves, nice-to-haves and what will not matter.

Step 2: Write or describe the brief

Edit the brief directly, or describe who you need in your own words and press Show how MFJ reads it. MFJ shows its search interpretation — experience, skills, work arrangement, history filters — before anything runs. Words that judge people, such as “interviewed well” or “top talent”, are not searched; MFJ offers the factual filter instead, like “completed an interview”.

Step 3: Find people, 20 at a time

Find people searches members who are open to work, by what they published. Applicants to the role are already in your pipeline and are left out. Find the next 20 loads more; MFJ never searches everyone at once.

Step 4: Read why each person surfaced

Results are grouped by fact: documents every must-have, documents some, or surfaced by role search. Each card lists which of your requirements their record mentions and where — skills, an experience, a project, a certificate. There is no match score or rank. View evidence opens every item with a link to their profile; it counts as a profile view and they get an anonymous notice.

Step 5: Rediscover people you already know

Rediscover Past Candidates lists people with history with your company — interviewed, reached the offer stage, saved to your Talent Pool, applied, referred or invited — grouped by that history. Since you last considered them shows entries they added after that date. Consider for this role adds them to the role’s review; the old application is never changed.

Step 6: Track it in a campaign

Manage Sourcing holds a campaign per role: the brief, a goal of people worth contacting, a review queue and a funnel — discovered, reviewed, saved, contacted, replied, applied, interviewing, hired — each counted from its own record. One recommended next step is about the process, never about a person.

Step 7: Invite someone

Invite opens a short message drafted only from the role, your company name and what their published record mentions. Edit it, then send it as an interview request. Nothing is ever sent for you, and they can accept or say not now.

Step 8: Ask for referrals and find similar experience

If people hold referral access for your company, Talent Discovery says how many and links to Referrals. From someone’s evidence, Find people with similar documented experience starts a new brief from their listed skills and role history — editable before you search.
