Research an opportunity

The Research Hub: start research on a company, market, competitor, sector, fund, trend, theme or anything else.

Step 1: Open the Research Hub

In Investor mode, open Research Hub in the sidebar’s RESEARCH section. Its tabs are Overview, Active Research, Watchlists, Intelligence Feed, Saved Sources, Research History, Theses and Research Settings. The nine research types stay in the sidebar and on Overview.

Step 2: Choose what to research

Under Start research, pick Research a company, a market, a competitor, a sector, an investor or fund, an industry trend, an investment theme, or anything. Type a name, or paste a URL. You can also paste a document, link an existing deal and use one of your theses.

Step 3: Check what will be used

The Using list shows every piece of context the run will send — the MyFullJourney listing, your thesis, the pasted document, the website. Untick anything you do not want used before you run.

Step 4: Pick depth and time range

Quick is about 3 web searches, Standard is normal research, Deep searches more and compares more sources. The cost line says how many of your 20 daily research runs you have used. Nothing deep runs unless you choose it.

Step 5: Leave and come back

Research runs in the background. You get a notification when it is complete, or when it failed and needs a retry. Active Research shows each dossier as Queued, Researching, Ready, Needs refresh or Archived.

Step 6: See every version

Research History keeps every run — a new run on a section is a new version (Market v2 — Oct 2026). Nothing is overwritten.
