Watch companies and markets

Watchlists that check public sources on a schedule, an intelligence feed of what changed, and saved sources.

Step 1: Create a watchlist

In the Research Hub, open Watchlists and choose New watchlist — or Watch this company / market on a dossier. Choose what it is (company, competitor, market, sector, theme or a website), the topics that matter, and optional keywords, countries, companies, sources and instructions.

Step 2: Choose how often MFJ checks

Pick daily, weekly or monthly, or Not monitored. Check now runs one check immediately. Each watch shows when it was last checked and what happened.

Step 3: Read the Intelligence Feed

Changes arrive in the Intelligence Feed: what changed, why it appeared (the watch, deal, portfolio company, thesis or research it relates to), the evidence with its sources, and Open, Dismiss or Watch. Only things related to what you follow appear — it is not a news feed.

Step 4: Save sources

Saved Sources keeps company websites, filings, investor reports, newsletters, research and articles, with tags and notes. Add to research makes the next run on that dossier search the site; Add to a watchlist makes the monitor search it.

Step 5: Pause or set defaults

Research Settings sets the default depth, time range and checking schedule, and has a switch to pause all monitoring.
