Finance Tools — try a money choice first

Calculators that use your own numbers: savings plans, debt, a purchase, bills, growth.

Step 1: Open Finance and select Tools

Finance opens on My Money. Select the Tools tab. Each card says the question the tool answers.

Step 2: Plan a saving

The savings planner answers how long something will take at a monthly amount, or how much a month you need to reach it by a date. Pick one of your goals to fill in money already tagged to it; the monthly amount starts from what you usually keep.

Step 3: See what paying more on a debt does

The debt tool uses a debt from your Future tab (or one you type in) and shows how much sooner it clears and how much interest you skip with an extra amount each month. If the payment never covers the interest, it says so, and names the payment at which the balance starts to fall.

Step 4: Check what a purchase really costs

“What would this really cost me?” turns a price into hours of your work, weeks of your usual saving, its share of what is safe to spend this month after bills still to come, and a cost per use. It never decides for you.

Step 5: Add up your regular payments

Bills and subscriptions from your Future tab, shown per month and per year, and as a share of your usual income.

Step 6: See growth over time

Type a starting amount, a monthly amount, the years and a yearly rate you choose. It shows what you put in and the growth on top. It is an illustration, not a prediction, and names no products.

Step 7: Nothing is saved

Every tool works in the moment with your numbers and saves nothing. Each one links to the lessons behind it and to the tab where the change is actually made. The emergency fund and income-drop tools live on the Future tab.
