Prepare your founder mindset

MENTALITY, first in the founder sidebar: principles, a Playbook, practice situations, your own principles and a weekly check-in.

Step 1: Open MENTALITY

In Founder mode, open MENTALITY — the first section in the founder sidebar — and choose Founder Mindset. Everything you write in this section is private to you.

Step 2: Read the principles and the map

Founder Mindset shows the ten founder principles, the founder mindset map and the mentality journey. Choose the stage that sounds like you (Explorer, Builder, Operator, Leader or Scale founder) with “This sounds like me”, and the Founder Playbook leads with that stage’s modules.

Step 3: Work through the Founder Playbook

Open Founder Playbook in the MENTALITY section. Each of the 24 modules — risk, fear and uncertainty, failure, bad news, decisions, focus, delegation, money, founder identity and more — has key ideas, what is easy to confuse, an exercise you fill in privately, reflection questions and situations that test it.

Step 4: Practise Founder Situations

Founder Situations lists realistic moments: nobody replies to your outreach, runway is shrinking, your co-founder wants another direction. Write what you would do, then choose Show the Founder Response to see what is happening psychologically, a stronger response and what not to confuse.

Step 5: Write My Founder Principles

My Founder Principles holds your own operating rules. Type one and choose Add principle, or adopt one from Principles other founders use; reorder them with the arrows, and write your founder manifesto underneath.

Step 6: Do the weekly check-in

From Founder Mindset, open Weekly check-in. Answer the questions that are useful, and tick what you avoided and where you need help. When the same tag comes up in two or more recent check-ins, the Patterns card counts it. Past weeks stay as you wrote them.

Open Prepare your founder mindset in the app (sign-in required).
